Our team was honored to join the 23rd Annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast hosted by DuPagePads, supporting efforts to end homelessness in DuPage County. During this event, attendees heard from keynote speaker Angie Walker, Homeless Program Manager with the City of Rockford Illinois Health & Human Services Department, as well as individuals whose lives have been transformed by services made possible through the generous support of organizations like DuPagePads. This event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with fellow leaders across Illinois who share a commitment to advancing affordable housing solutions.
This fall, FHLBank Chicago connected with housing leaders and advocates across Illinois and Wisconsin to advance affordable housing and economic development. These conferences – from emerging developer discussions to community land trust advocacy – demonstrate the power of partnership in driving real change across our region.
We recently celebrated 93 years of FHLBank Chicago’s unwavering commitment to our members and communities across our district. From our founding in Evanston in 1932 to creating the Mortgage Partnership Finance Program in 1997, we’ve proudly partnered with members to drive affordable housing, economic growth, and opportunity across Illinois and Wisconsin. Here’s to almost a century of impact, and to the future we’re building together.
We've had a great time attending career fairs over the last few weeks, speaking with students about the work we do and discussing the many career opportunities we have to offer at FHLBank Chicago. After a successful pilot in 2023, we officially launched our Coaches Helping to Accelerate Managers Program (CHAMP) in 2024. This initiative connects new and seasoned people managers across departments through a mentorship structure model, accelerating leadership development and encouraging constructive feedback.
