Happy #WHYILOVEH2M Wednesday! Meet Sean Peters, E.I.T.. Sean is a Staff Engineer in H2M architects + engineers' Civil Engineering Discipline. He focuses on site design and municipal engineering. Some of his work includes presenting to local boards, permitting, site and stormwater design. He also works with our municipal clients to prepare grants, design public infrastructure improvements, and review planning board submissions. Sean says that, "H2M has allowed me to see the positive impact that a company can have on communities outside of our day to day work. It was announced today at this year's F.I.E.R.O. Station Design Symposium that H2M architects + engineers with Tecton Architects received a Fire Station Design Merit Award for Lexington Fire Headquarters! The new Lexington Fire Headquarters provides modern amenities and safety of a new building, with traditional aesthetic that reflects the station’s location in one of the country’s most recognizable historic districts, a half mile from Lexington Battle Green. This was one of only three merit awards given out of the 43 submissions this year, the most ever received. Today we introduce you to Sarah M. Golden, E.I.T. for #WHYILOVEH2M Wednesday! Sarah is a staff engineer in our Water Resources Division. She works in our Melville, NY office and works primarily on drinking water treatment plants for local public water suppliers. Sarah loves problem-solving and working through design decisions with her supervisor. Sarah says that she enjoys "Getting to work with superintendents and operators of public water suppliers to design treatment for their systems and learning about how county/state/federal policies on water quality regulations affect local suppliers and residents."
