Looking for more ways to support efforts aimed at responding to the current COVID-19 crisis? Introducing you to Helping Hands- a great tool to help provide support to your local community. Helping Hands was developed to connect at-risk (eg. elderly, immunocompromised) individuals with volunteers who can pick-up and deliver groceries, prescriptions, and complete other critical errands. If you, a loved one, one someone in your community would benefit from extra support, please share this with them or sign up or place a request on their behalf . They also need volunteers to support inbound requests from those in need. Please visit the helping hands website and sign up to help those in your own community who need it!
LiveRampers everywhere are adopting new grandparents! CHD Living, a nursing home company with 13 locations near London, England, started a global "adopt-a-grandparent" campaign to bring comfort and raise spirits for residents and volunteers alike as we socially distance. Volunteers and residents connect virtually or as traditional pen pals. If you're interested in adopting a grandparent, please sign up!
LiveRampers have already raised $3,640 for Feeding America! During April, LiveRamp will match 2:1 the first $10,000 donated by LiveRampers to Feeding America. The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, supporting food banks in dozens of communities. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 46 million people, including 12 million children and nearly 7 million seniors. Our nationwide network of 200 member food banks and 60,000 meal programs, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and programs for seniors and children, serves 4.3 billion meals annually to people in need, including 1.5 billion pounds of fruits and vegetables. Feeding America rescues 3.5 billion pounds of food that may have otherwise gone to waste. The Feeding America network of food banks is leading the fight against hunger in communities across the country.
