Through its partnership with Progyny, Nike provides employees with family-building benefits like fertility treatment, adoption and surrogacy coverage to support all paths to parenthood. “A lot of people are looking for an employer who offers help with fertility treatment because it might be their only way to start a family. Raelyn [my daughter] is living proof of what can happen when an employer takes care of its people,” says Kate, Nike employee. Last year, more than 90 babies were welcomed into the Nike family through the company’s Progyny benefits! Want to learn more about how Nike looks out for its employees? Last month, we celebrated Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) month. At Nike, this year’s theme was Amplify Y(our) Voice, which serves as a tribute to the power of representation. As a community, we are empowered when we actively raise our voice to address challenges, enact change and move the world forward through sport. As we amplify the voices within our community, we also celebrate the many cultures that make up Ascend and the unique perspectives that make a difference in greater society. From a conversation on navigating unspoken rules of the workplace with Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Gorick Ng, to a live drawing moment with Marcus To, a Toronto-based artist and illustrator, last month's programming was full of moments for Nike employees to amplify their voice. “In my early twenties, I wasn’t the best at saving money. So, when I got the job at Nike and found out a financial coach was offered to me — for free! — I thought, ‘It’s time to be an adult. I should use this service to help me learn how to buy stock, tell me what I’m doing right with my money and where I can improve.’” That’s Ashlee Bobb, Nike Media and Influencer Relations Manager, on the free, unlimited access to financial coaching offered to every U.S. Nike employee through EY Navigate™. EY coaches are trained on Nike’s benefits and programs, so Ashlee was able to work with her coach on a budget and savings plan utilizing Nike’s 401k match and Employee Stock Purchase Plan – all in one 45-minute session. “The EY coaches are really willing to come on the journey with you,” Bobb says, adding that hers was willing to work with the fact that, hey, she’s not going to give up take out, but still wants to save for the future.
