AM Best has upgraded the financial strength rating to A++ (Superior) for RLI Insurance Company, Mt. Hawley Insurance Company and Contractors Bonding and Insurance Company. AM Best also upgraded the Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings (ICR) for each RLI company to “aa+” (Superior) and upgraded the ICR of RLI’s publicly traded parent holding company, RLI Corp., to “a+” (Excellent). The outlook for these Credit Ratings has been revised to stable from positive. These ratings reflect RLI’s balance sheet strength, strong operating performance, favorable business profile and strong enterprise risk management.
