Intentional inclusion: Yesterday, we celebrated National Coming Out Day with an event hosted by SSOE’s PRIDE Employee Resource Group. A day to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, support LGBTQ+ equality, and champion safely sharing our authentic selves with others, we held a panel discussion led by our friend Tiff Thompson, DEI Manager at ProMedica. Both in-person and virtual employee panelists shared how coming out has changed their work experience at SSOE, what they’ve learned from their children who’ve come out, how we can all be better allies in the workplace, and more. #ComingOutDay
We visited our friends at the University of Toledo this morning to update the mural in the SSOE Seminar Room. With our world headquarters just minutes away, SSOE has a long history of giving and partnering with the university—especially its ABET-accredited College of Engineering. And, we have Rockets representing around 20% of our global employee population. #chooseSSOE
We had a great time yesterday at Wayne State University’s Engineering Career Fair in Detroit! Jaclyn and Kevin hung out at the Student Center for the majority of the day talking to soon-to-be grads about a career at SSOE. We met a lot of great students who were interested in learning more, which was a win for us. We’ll see you next time, WSU Warriors! #chooseSSOE
Our Nashville office’s Employee Club organized fun for the entire family at Hendersonville Strike and Spare and Circus World as part of our 75th anniversary activities. From bowling to roller skating to laser tag and more, there was something for everyone. When it was time to eat, there was a lunch buffet provided for us to eat all we wanted (plus cupcakes!). And when it was time to wrap, many folks left with door prizes—gift cards to their favorite spots. #SSOEcelebrates75 #SSOEsoutheast
Take us to Texas! Last week, SSOE leadership from the U.S. and Mexico journeyed to the Lone Star State for an eventful open house celebrating one of our newest locations: Austin, Texas. We warmly welcomed clients and colleagues to our vibrant new workspace with a Texas-sized party to celebrate our growth locally and company-wide! #SSOEaustin
People + Process + Technology = Success! SSOE's Lisa Lewis, Project Management Assistant in our Atlanta office, recently sat down with our friends at Deltek to talk about how their Specpoint product helps us create detailed project specifications more efficiently and accurately.
We brought the party to the business district! Our South Carolina office took 75th anniversary celebrations to one of downtown Columbia’s treasures: Boyd Plaza. Located just outside our office, the outdoor space was perfect for food, drinks, and conversation. Our families and local clients joined in on the fun too, with a DJ, photo booth, and cornhole to keep the party rolling. #SSOEcelebrates75 #SSOEsoutheast
