SSOE Group introduces new "work perk" for employees with Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) program. #workperks #chooseSSOE
Our India office’s Employee Club sponsored a day of fun, thrills, and fellowship at Imagica, a water park and theme park in Mumbai. Employees enjoyed slides and rides as they spent time with their co-workers outside of the office. #SSOEindia #workperks #chooseSSOE
Congratulations to all employees who recently earned a professional registration or certification! Attainment of professional licensures and certifications is strongly encouraged at SSOE. In fact, we cover the expense of preparation classes and exam fees as well as provide paid time off to take the exam. As an added incentive, once an employee has passed an exam, they're awarded a recognition bonus. #workperks #chooseSSOE
We recently partnered with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program, which is designed to train transitioning service members on skills needed to succeed in the civilian workforce. This is done through a 12-week program that consists of educational programming and on-the-job training opportunities for service members while still on active duty, gaining private sector experience and education to help close the employment gap. At SSOE, we love hiring military veterans. We actively employ more than 60 veterans at our various office locations and our founder, the late Al Samborn, was himself a veteran of WWII. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ2Ws
SSOE’s Todd Alsdorf, Senior VP of Innovation, was recently featured on the podcast “Why Try” describing his less-than-traditional journey in the professional services industry. Todd discusses his passion for problem solving and the importance of recognizing value in business, while examining some of the obstacles he experienced along the way. He also walks listeners through the launch of SSOE’s Innovation Lab, a web-based platform allowing employees to crowdsource ideas, while providing access to the tools and resources to bring them to life. Hut... Hut… HIKE! A group of employees from our Semiconductor Tool Install team in Hillsboro recently formed a flag football team. Our group, team name “Flagons”, faced the “Dictators Finest” during their first game at Lewis & Clark College in Portland. #SSOEPortland #workperks #chooseSSOE
Fighting hunger and giving the gift of hope. A group of employees from our Nashville office recently joined the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in providing food assistance for Hurricane Irma victims in need. Our volunteers worked the assembly line to package over 2,000 boxes of food in 3 hours—the equivalent of 30 pallets—that were sent down to Florida. SSOE is willing to support causes that matter to our employees, so much so that employees have the opportunity to earn money for their favorite charities by volunteering their time and talents through SSOE’s volunteerism program. #SSOESoutheast #workperks #chooseSSOE
Our Lima office’s Employee Club made spirits bright by hosting an evening of fun and games at Westgate Entertainment Center to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. We took a quick break from knocking down pins to laud the achievements of Brad Imm, Mechanical Engineer, who recently received his professional engineering licensure—which is no small feat. Attainment of professional licensures and certifications is strongly encouraged at SSOE. In fact, the company covers the expense of preparation classes and exam fees as well as provides paid time off to take the exam. As an added incentive, once an employee has passed an exam, they are awarded a recognition bonus. #SSOELima #workperks #chooseSSOE
Children's of Alabama recently broke ground on construction of a 12-story parking deck and 6-story, 115,000 SF office building in downtown Birmingham’s growing Parkside District. SSOE is providing engineering services on the project, which includes electrical as well as data / fire / security (DFS) support, with construction expecting to conclude in the spring of 2019. SSOE has a longstanding relationship with Children’s of Alabama and nearly 40 years of experience executing healthcare projects in the Southeast U.S. We served as the associate electrical and DFS engineering firm for the 12-story, 833,000 SF Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children, which opened its doors in 2012 and will conveniently connect to Children’s new parking deck and office building. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ2WH #SSOESoutheast
