At SSOE, we’re getting into the holiday spirit and reflecting on the past year. We’d like to share with you “a few of our favorite things”—milestones reached, activities that brought us joy, positive changes we implemented, project accolades, and so much more. Warm wishes for a happy and healthy holiday as you remember “a few of your favorite things.” #OurFavoriteThings
At SSOE, work perks are par for the course. Employees at our Nashville office recently had some fun with a playfully competitive putt-putt tournament after work. The in-office event, which had a great turnout, was organized by Project Manager Nick Bryan to provide fellow colleagues a bit of a reprieve amid a heavy workload. Data / Fire / Security Designer John Delaney came out on top with Senior Mechanical Engineer Barry Whitehead and Structural Engineer Jeff DePriest close behind. #SSOEsoutheast #chooseSSOE

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we’re showcasing two individuals who are making an impact to the AEC industry right here at SSOE. The first is Wayne Farley, an experienced project manager in our tool install division. With a mechanical engineering background, Wayne manages multiple fast-paced projects of varying sizes and complexity simultaneously. The second is Charles Berteaux, who has over 20 years of experience serving as an architectural design lead, BIM content builder / coordinator / teacher, and VDC manager. An Autodesk Expert Elite and Revit Architecture Certified Professional, Charles—whose father is a decedent of the Cahuilla tribe of Southern California—has presented at six Autodesk University events through the years. Please join us in recognizing the rich history and influence of Native Americans and Alaskan Natives. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth
Earlier this month, our Mexico office’s Employee Club hosted two special contests in celebration of Día de Muertos, or “Day of the Dead.” Employees and their families competed with costumes and altar décor—and as usual, everyone delivered. Karina, Estefanie, and Belen took home the winning title for their costumes while Antonio, Raciel, and Karina won the altar decorating contest. A tradition in homes throughout Mexico, altares de muertos are set during Day of the Dead celebrations in early November to honor those who have passed and show they have not been forgotten. #chooseSSOE #SSOEmexico
