¡Feliz Día de Reyes! In honor of Three Kings Day earlier this week, our Mexico office’s Employee Club served up something sweet—traditional Rosca de Reyes and hot cocoa. Rosca de Reyes, also known as King Cakes, is a special bread made with fruit and sugar that is made in the shape of a crown and contains hidden dolls. Six lucky employees who found a hidden doll in their slice will bring tamales to the office next month to share in their blessings. In Mexico, it is also common for children to open gifts they believe to have been brought to them by the kings themselves on the morning of Three Kings Day. #ThreeKingsDay #SSOEmexico #chooseSSOE
Our team in Mexico recently celebrated Posada with dinner at Cañada de Mariches. This was the first time many employees have seen one another in person since the pandemic, which made the evening of special importance. With everyone’s safety top of mind, the event was coordinated with human resources to ensure COVID precautions were in place, which included testing prior to the event. Last week was our Human Resources department’s HR-oliday Party! Staff from across the U.S. as well as in Mexico and India came together virtually to celebrate a great year. The team had a festive fashion show, fun with holiday movie backgrounds (including a spirited debate on whether Die Hard is actually a “Christmas movie”), and a themed scavenger hunt. Holiday mugs with cocoa were sent to everyone ahead of time so they could also enjoy a hot beverage together. #chooseSSOE

SSOE | S&W was recently featured in Urbanize Atlanta for designing the Capitol Hill neighborhood’s 104 Trinity housing project. This downtown site will soon offer an eight-story building with nearly 200 apartment units, 7,500 SF of retail space, and an 18,000 SF urban garden atop the parking deck across from Atlanta City Hall. #SSOEsoutheast
