In the November issue of Business North Carolina, they highlight the North Carolina Mid-Market Fast 40 award winners celebrated at the August ceremony in Greensboro, NC. Sunstates Security was honored to be recognized with an elite group of growing North Carolina businesses during the event. The Fast 40 companies were selected based on revenue and employment growth over the past three years: the chosen companies have annual revenue ranging between $10 million and $500 million. “Earning a spot on the North Carolina Mid-Market Fast 40 list takes hard work, especially during challenging economic times,” the article stated. Senior Operations Manager Jackie Bragg's quick and compassionate actions went a long way while on a client site visit in the Newark, NJ, region. A father holding his 5-year-old daughter was running down the hall in a panic. Jackie asked him if he was okay, and he stated that his daughter was having a seizure. In a calm voice, Jackie instructed the father (if he did not mind) to lay his daughter on the floor to open her airway and allow her to go through her episode. The father did as directed, and Jackie asked him for his daughter's name so she could call her by her name. The daughter was in and out of her episodes; Jackie had the women who worked at the Hub grab a cold cloth to apply to her head. Jackie turned her to her side to clear her airway after noticing she was gurgling. After her airway cleared, the daughter became alert and cried out for her parents. 911 was called, and the Hub desk on site was there to assist and direct medical personnel who arrived. In the Atlanta area, Sunstates took over the security services at several distribution center sites for a large client. Sunstates had all hands on deck for several months, and team members from all over the country came to support during this substantial transition. National Account Manager Dave Rosser highlighted officers for two occasions in Charlotte, NC. The first picture was from a training session for all our officers at the client’s headquarters. He won the All-Texas Academic Community College award for Phi Theta Kappa with a GPA of 3.89. Sgt Chapa is an Air Force Veteran who has worked for Sunstates for seven years.
