Please help us thank the following team members for going above and beyond during a major incident. In late May, one of Sunstates Security’s clients’ buildings in Charlotte, NC, experienced a fatal 5-alarm fire. Before a total of ninety firefighters and twenty-two emergency vehicles could arrive, Site Supervisor Penelope Nowtarski and Officer Shameaka Walters jumped into action. Both officers started evacuating construction workers and then evacuating the office buildings they patrolled daily. After aiding guide people to safety, they helped the building engineer retrieve and utilize fire extinguishers to extinguish a secondary brush fire in the surrounding landscape. The team also removed a vehicle from the parking garages to help avoid damage. During the ensuing several days, Officer Michael Aliamo went beyond expectations, putting in an abundant amount of overtime to ensure the site had additional required security coverage during the initial recovery period. The client stated, “Often times, it is forgotten that security officers are frequently the first responders in the property management world. These officers rose to the occasion and surpassed it. Their dedication and care of the tenants was obvious as they helped people to safety and maintained their station around the clock. They protected the tenants, the buildings, and the property always going above and beyond.” https://www.sunstatessecurity.com/security-services-in-charlotte-nc/

The Denver region has many team members to acknowledge for their extraordinary actions and for positively representing Sunstates. First- a client’s HR team conducted a high-risk termination, and during this process, the individual became very aggressive with the building staff and, ultimately, the security team. As the situation evolved, Security Officer Nicholas Cooper was assaulted by this individual while placing his body between the aggressor and an HR manager. Simultaneously Shift Supervisor Monica Casas-Archuleta was able to corral the individual through an exit door and ultimately out of the facility. Both employees have demonstrated the correct way to manage an incident like. Officer Cooper went above and beyond in the way he tried to prevent any further violence toward client employees. Next, Terray Luvv and Monica Casas-Archuleta were both recognized for stepping up and taking the initiative to be leaders at the site while the supervisor was out on family emergency leave. They made sure to stay In communication with management and the client while providing great support to the rest of the team. Finally, Officer Robert Schlosser was appreciated for his dedication to the site. He continuously goes above and beyond, offering to cover shifts when needed and setting a standard for new team members. The client stated, “Consider yourselves lucky to have Robert on your team.” https://www.sunstatessecurity.com/security-guard-services-in-denver-co/

Congratulations to the Nashville region on winning the Top Workplace 2023 award from the Tennessean! We have a great group of individuals in our region, and to each officer, supervisor, operations manager, and everyone in between- thank you. I appreciate your dedication daily, for always going above and beyond, and for being a team player.
