The announcement of Security Officer of the Year is an exciting moment. We're grateful to have so many incredible individuals on our team doing extraordinary things across the county daily. For the Sunstates Security Officer of the Year, we had 23 nominations with stories of leadership, innovation, and courage. They are all hard-working, dedicated team members; however, only one can receive the honor of being the 2023 Security Officer of the Year for their actions last year. The winner of the Sunstates Security Officer of the Year 2023 is Mark Mountain of the Philadelphia region.
We still have some remarkable individuals that were recognized at our Leadership Conference two weeks ago to share. Sunstates Security awarded Business Development Manager Jerry Drumwright the "James T. Dollar" Business Development Manager of the Year for most new business sold. Chief Operating Officer Denis Kelly states, "Congratulations to Jerry as the recipient of this year's "James T. Dollar" award for top business development person for 2022. Jerry and I both knew Jim for many years, so this brings about special meaning and recognition. The results were determined by factors including last year's profit, revenue growth, training completion, client survey results, unbilled over-time percentage, and more—great job to a fantastic team led by Regional Manager Travis Miller. The other two regions recognized for the Region of the Year award at our Annual Leadership Conference were Roanoke in second place and Raleigh in third.
