Last month in the Dallas region, Sunstates employees donated blood to the American Red Cross to help save lives in the community. Our client hosted the event, and the fantastic turnout led to them having more donors than could be processed. The employees are being recognized for serving their community and assisting the client with a successful event. Great work! At a site in Indianapolis, Indiana, Officer Pierre Peterson went above and beyond to ensure the safety of an employee. Sunstates Security Operations Manager Jason Burton states, "Pierre Peterson was the on-duty officer at the site's front desk when the incident occurred. He is not a full-time officer at this location but was filling in to help with needed coverage. Pierre observed a male subject approaching the exterior front doors to the lobby of the building. Immediately, he recognized this subject as an individual that there is a BOLO out on. This individual has been stalking one of the female employees. Pierre, without hesitation, locked down the entry/exit to the building. He informed the subject that he was not welcome and needed to leave the property. The subject finally gave up, returned to his vehicle, and left the property. This still caught Pierre's attention as he recognized that the vehicle this subject left in was not the same one outlined in the BOLO. Pierre was able to obtain all the vehicle information as well as the license plate number.
