David brings more than 20 years of experience as a Fortune 50 Chief Diversity Officer and has served in an advisory and board director capacity for several national and local organizations; he’s earned numerous professional service accolades, including recognition by Black Enterprise Magazine as a Top Diversity Executive. For the fifth year in a row, Tapestry has been recognized among “The Best Employers for Diversity” by Forbes. Jumping up over 270 spots on the list from last year, this achievement is a testament to the work our teams have put in to advance Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity at Tapestry. The Best Employers for Diversity list was compiled by surveying over 60,000 U.S. employees in companies with a minimum of 1,000 employees; diversity among Board of Directors and executive teams were also taken into consideration. We’re proud to announce a partnership with World Wildlife Fund through a $3 million philanthropic grant from the Tapestry Foundation to develop an innovative system that will enhance the traceability of the leather value chain in Brazil. The challenges of today’s climate crisis are too big for any one organization to solve, but we believe through partnerships like this we can collaborate to address the impacts of deforestation. April is National Volunteer Month. At Tapestry, giving back to the communities where we live, work, and make our products is core to who we are. In FY19, we launched the bold goal of completing 100,000 volunteer service hours by 2025; to date, we’ve completed over 75,000 volunteer hours, with over 30,000 hours completed in FY22 alone. Today, we honor International Transgender Day of Visibility; now more than ever, we celebrate the resilience and accomplishments of transgender, non-binary and gender-nonconforming individuals and continue to raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve justice, equity, and equality for the LGBTQ+ community at large. To honor this day and further our commitment to equity for all, the Tapestry Foundation has donated to CenterLink, an organization that provides support to over 300 LGBTQ centers, to help them continue their critical advocacy work to address systemic challenges at the highest level and on the ground as go-to safe havens in local communities across the United States. Across Tapestry, we support and stand with all our LGBTQ+ colleagues and Prouder Together employee resource group. We’re proud to have partnered with and donated over $1.5M to non-profits supporting the LGBTQ+ community, including Hetrick-Martin Institute, It Gets Better, Point Foundation, The Trevor Project, Albert Kennedy Trust (UK), Born This Way Foundation, and Open to All.
To help provide safety, support, and shelter to those that have been displaced in Ukraine, the Tapestry Foundation donated $100,000 to USA for UNHCR - the United Nations Refugee Agency. We’re also helping our employees give back to the causes they care about by double-matching North America employee donations toward humanitarian relief efforts.

To help bring regenerative practices to the leather supply chain industry, Tapestry and Coach signed onto a partnership with the Land to Market program at The Savory Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on the large-scale regeneration of the world’s grasslands. As strategic partners, we’re aiding ranchers and farmers who use regenerative grazing management to manage their cattle in a way that mimics the natural movement of herd animals, allowing for more rest and regrowth of grasses which leads to better food for livestock, healthier soil and increased biodiversity. #ourtapestry
