Today, we are proud to announce that Tapestry, through our Foundation, is a founding partner for the Fashion Institute of Technology’s (FIT) new Social Justice Center (SJC). As part of this commitment, the Tapestry Foundation has pledged $1 million to support the center’s launch. The FIT Social Justice Center is a first-of-its-kind education program established to nurture a racially and ethnically diverse talent pipeline, from the middle-school classroom to the executive level, that is focused on breaking down systemic barriers. It will offer mentorship, education and career support for pre-college youth, college students and creative industry professionals from the BIPOC community. It's Giving Tuesday, and at Tapestry, giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of who we are. Today and every day, we’re proud to support the causes our employees care about through the Tapestry Gives matching gift program, which matches personal employee donations made to the nonprofits of their choosing, up to $10,000 per year (with up to $1,000 in donations double matched). Since the program’s inception, we’ve donated nearly $4.5 million, reaching over 500 nonprofits each year. What are some of your favorite ways to give back to your community? #OurTapestry #TapestryGives
