Our first-ever Dueling Pianos event was a success, raising over $17,700 for Veterans programs of The Chicago Lighthouse and those of our partners at Illinois Joining Forces! More than 125 guests sang and danced the night away to the incredible entertainment of The Killer Dueling Pianos, who played classic hits from artists including Queen, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and Journey. In the holiday spirit of giving back, our Associate Board annually funds a winter warmth effort providing warm and stylish coats and accessories to Lighthouse employees and program participants. This year, several coats were donated to participants of our Adult Living Skills Program, which provides life skills training for adults who are blind or visually impaired with developmental disabilities, as well as many employees in various areas of The Lighthouse. We are so grateful for the generosity of our Associate Board in spreading warmth year after year! For photos, visit http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMUCt
To celebrate our Veterans employed at The Chicago Lighthouse, we hosted a special luncheon this week.
