Congratulations to the team at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center! The hospital has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's “100 Great Community Hospitals” list for the third straight year. Becker’s defines a “community hospital” as one with fewer than 550 beds without large teaching programs. WGMC was one of only two Georgia hospitals honored!
Recently, WellStar Kennestone Hospital held a special construction celebration for its new Emergency Department. Team members used the occasion to raise more than $55,000 for the WellStar Foundation! Construction of the ED began in February and is expected to be completed in late 2019, with patient care beginning in early 2020.
