Representatives from the City of Quincy, NeighborWorks Housing Solutions and WinnDevelopment were on hand in Washington, DC to accept the award at the 50th Annual NCDA Winter Conference.
The NAHMA - National Affordable Housing Management Association has selected Castle Square Apartments in Boston's South End as a 2019 winner of its annual Communities of Quality® (COQ) Award. The award honors the best multifamily affordable housing communities across the country. Subzero temperatures couldn't stop our WinnMilitary teams from North Haven Communities, located at Fort Wainwright in Alaska, from decorating the community's Historic Quarters 1 with garland, bows and a wreath. Quarters 1 originally served as housing for the commander of the Cold Weather Test Detachment, and is now home to the Deputy Commanding Officer of the U.S. Army Alaska.
We look forward to partnering with Soldier On to develop 70 units of supportive housing in Tinton Falls, NJ. The Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Village will accommodate homeless and formerly homeless veterans in single-occupancy furnished units. The project is expected to break ground next spring.

WinnCompanies is excited that autumn is in the air! Fall, food and fun were on the agenda at Oliver Crossing's Fall Festival. Residents of the Winn owned and managed community, located in Richmond, VA, came out to celebrate under the warm autumn sky, while dancing to music played by a live DJ. Children were filled with joy and laughter as they enjoyed a bouncy house castle and freshly spun cotton candy.

Kiefer interviewed WinnCompanies CEO Gilbert Winn for the keynote presentation of the Multifamily Forum New England, hosted Thursday by Marcus & Millichap and Institutional Property Advisors. Winn discussed strategies for multifamily financing and for creating more mixed income housing in the middle income workforce category.
