May is officially recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, and now more than ever, it’s crucial that we shine a light on the importance of prioritizing mental health. Community Coordinator Valarie Ellerbie of Samuel Kelsey Apartments, a community for seniors in Washington, DC, decided found a way to connect with residents in a safe manner. She posted encouraging posters in the community's enclosed bulletin and pinned flyers, next to hand sanitizing stations, with positive messages for her residents to tear off and carry with them. Thank you to Valarie for your creativity and commitment to the residents at Samuel Kelsey and to Regional Manager of Connected Communities Lopa Shah for sharing this story. We truly are all in this together.
