Halloween is an exciting time of year for iHerb as it brings about our annual No Carve Pumpkin Decorating Contest. This iHerb tradition gives team members an opportunity to show their creativity and their spooky holiday spirit. Teams from all US-based onsite locations, as well as remote teams, work in groups to boo-tifully decorate pumpkins. Top pumpkins are then voted on for National Trick or Treat Awards. On Thursday, October 20th, our CEO, Emun Zabihi, was joined by a panel of executives (Mike Cody - CFO, Trent Kruse - SVP of Investor Relations and Treasury, Léa Baltzinger - SVP of HR, and Neil Folgate - VP of Marketing) to host a Townhall via Livestream. They provided updates about company performance, forward-thinking plans and answered employee-submitted questions. A big thank you to our team behind the scenes who helped make the live stream go smoothly for all our employees watching from around the globe.

At iHerb, we celebrate our team members, and learn more about who they are outside of work and what their passions are. This October, in celebration of #HispanicHeritageMonth, we’re honored to showcase Maeba (Eve) Renteria, Senior HR Operations Manager. In her role, Eve is responsible for leading the HR function for both our Perris and Moreno Valley, CA facilities. Outside of work, Eve embraces her Mexican heritage through Folklórico dance. “I love to dance and truly believe that dance inspires diversity. I dance to a variety of music but what is closest to my heart is dancing Folklórico which is folkloric dance from Mexico. Through dancing folklórico I have been able to reconnect to my Mexican roots. I have learned about Mexican culture, discipline, traveled, and met so many amazing people. Dancing folklórico is a tradition in my family and I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. My husband began to dance with me when he was 16 yrs old and we have continued the tradition by passing on what we have learned to our four children.” iHerb...For a Better You #CelebrateDiversity
September is always a special month here at iHerb as we celebrate another company anniversary and another quarter in the books. This past September, a few of our locations got together for some sugary treats…yum!!! To beat the heat and celebrate everyone’s hard work during Q3, our Moreno Valley (CA) and Perris (CA) teams threw a Cold Treat Ice Cream Social. In Hebron (KY), the team enjoyed some sweet deserts provided by the Cookiefection Food Truck. These cookies were a cross between a cookie and a cupcake. Today marks the beginning of National #HispanicHeritageMonth, an annual event to celebrate the culture and contributions of Hispanic Americans. To kick off the celebration, we at iHerb wanted to take a moment to talk about the history of this month-long celebration. Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual celebration of the Latino community, takes place each year from September 15th to October 15th. The observation began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and extended to 31 days in 1988. September 15th was chosen as day-one as it marks the observance of Independence Day in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua; followed by Mexico's Independence Day on September 16th, and Chile's on September 18th. Join us in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
