“As marketers, we need to make sure that brands are celebrating the diversity of their fans so that everyone feels included and inspired,” says Julia Goldin, our Chief Product and Marketing Officer. In this insightful interview, she shares about the evolution of the LEGO® brand, our efforts to ensure greater representation, and how she uses her curiosity as a superpower. #LEGOTeam
Our colleague Michal, shift leader in our factory in the Czech Republic, proudly states that he has the most diverse team in production imaginable. “I have colleagues with different nationalities – Czechs, Serbs, Azerbaijanis, Ukrainians, Croats and Slovaks – with different backgrounds, identities and age – all truly role modelling inclusivity," he shares. Michal has a pro-tip on how to create more inclusivity in teams and departments, which has proven to be very successful. “As a shift leader, I use the wonderful diversity in my team to regularly swop around members within the teams. This way all team members get the opportunity to get to know each other better, for instance, those from different countries learn the local language more easily and it works wonderfully for us.” “I think we should focus on what brings us together,” he says – and we couldn’t agree more. ❤️ #PrideMonth #LEGOTeam
At the LEGO Group, everyone should be able to bring their full self to work. To help us become a more diverse and inclusive workplace and let the world know where we stand, we entered partnerships with three LGBTQIA+ NGOs: Stonewall, Workplace Pride and Open For Business. Cristina Liquori, Head of US Marketing, welcomes the new partnerships: “It’s so meaningful for someone like me who identifies as queer to see the company openly supports LGBTQIA+ colleagues and the community in general. I love that we embrace this to show that we value diversity.” #EveryoneIsAwesome #PrideMonth #LEGOTeam

Together with The LEGO Foundation, we are supporting Save the Children, India with a US$ 1 million donation to help children and families affected by India’s surge in COVID-19 cases. The donation will help children whose education has been disrupted by the outbreak and provide food and hygiene care kits to families.
