"We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing," as George Bernard Shaw once said. Our Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOL) community figured this out a long time ago; they never stopped playing, and they continue to inspire us with their amazing creations 🌟 In this episode, Tormod (who's been with us for 37 years!) shares how much influence this community has on some of the decisions we make. And you’ll meet Annie and Carl, two adult fans for whom LEGO play turned out to be a game-changer. #ourLEGOstories #LEGOpodcast
Two LEGO® icons say goodbye after 90 years of combined experience! ❤️ Jan Ryaa, Design Master, has been with the LEGO Group for almost 48 years, while Sten Schmidt, Senior Element Coach, has ‘just’ been in the company for around 42 years. Together, they have their names on more than 70 LEGO element patents! 👏 “But just because our names are on the patents doesn’t mean we can take all the credit. It has always been a team effort and we’re just proud to have played a part in the development of all these elements," says Jan. On their last day as LEGO employees, they decided to walk out the door together. #LEGO #LEGODesigners #BehindtheBricks

"I am very proud of everyone at the LEGO Group who contributed to us being recognised as the most reputable company for the second year in a row. During a difficult year, we prioritized doing what’s right and lived our values. We supported those in need and inspired children and families through play. Being able to have a positive impact on society motivates us every day," our CEO, Niels B. Christiansen shares.

Did you know that 100% of plastic waste from our moulding machines is recycled? Thanks to some creative thinking by our Global Waste Manager Claudia some of this waste is now part of our LEGO® Campus office in Denmark: Five tons of LEGO element waste has been turned into outdoor benches and tables. Another outcome is the 100% sustainable meeting room, including chairs, tables, lamps, and flowerpots – all made from plastic waste. Other types of waste have been reborn as Minifigure artwork on display in the new Campus canteen.
