In training in a busy store not enough time given to the trainer to do a thorough training. No extra hours allotted for the trainer to train.

Store managers are given exactly 0 hours to train their new associates. For my store manager training, 50% of my 5 week training was spent doing nothing but running freight. When my trainer realized my training was half over and we hadn't cracked open my 500+ page manual....we had a problem. They tried to cram a 5 week training course into 2.5 weeks. You can guess how thorough my training was.

I actually went in with no training. So my first day, I was trained in 5 mins and slowly learned everything else in time.

Training is minimal. Once you take over the store, you are on your own!

Training was extensive but once in the store, kind of left to figure it out.

the best thing about dollar tree training is that management is always around to help you during your training and very courteous.

Best thing is it's easy. Worst depends on when you are scheduled to train although pretty easy to run register but when you're training during rush hour it's harder to learn and greet the customer as you feel to rushed.
