Job training is extremely variable, when I started I had two weeks with no computer, no desk, and no systems access. Business changes rapidly, web based training becomes obsolete quickly, so you have to learn on the fly. Find a coworker who is capable of explaining their job, and patient enough to answer questions and hang on to them.

For starters the $200 Federal & State Income Tax Course I was required to take was a joke. Filed a complaint with BBB and H&R Block gave me $195 back and kept $5 for Bill Cobbs Performance Bonus. OJT didn't exist

There is only so much training they are able to do to prepare you for dealing with customers. There is also only so fast you can absorb information they present to you. A longer training period might be beneficial for retention, but dealing with customers almost has to be hands on.

Great teacher. They shouldn't coach students while taking quizzes and exams. This is where you wean out the students that just din't get it.

Very thorough training, but very fast paced during the complicated units.
