Vacation & Paid Time Off

Every other Friday is an off Friday. It's like having 20 extra vacation days a year.

Regional "holidays" become floating holidays for the rest of the country to take. Common to work 9X80 work periods so every other Friday is an off work day. These really act as mini-vacations. No explicit number of sick days...guess you hit your maximum when your manager talks with you due to work performance.

Decent vacation time. No complaints there. We are able to roll-over quite a few hours from one year to the next.

No benefits as a contractor

Very good for older employees, vacation days per year increased with seniority. Not the case for new hires.

Would like the option of unlimited vacation but there are limits to how fast you accumulate vacation and how much vacation you can keep if it is not used and how floating holidays are lost if not taken within a calendar year. Would be nice if these things rolled over to the next year or again if there were unlimited vacation offered.

Vacation time off is great if you can get it approved by your manager.

Normal holiday hours provided by the company and PTO is computed weekly. Great company as far as taking time when one may need to.

2 wks off around the holidays & every other Friday off
