Job Training

Training was 6 weeks and it was terrible. I was trained by someone in a low volume store but I was going to work in a large volume store.

They expect you to learn everything yourself.

For my training as a sales floor associate, they basically threw me on a cash register first to get to know how things worked and so I could offer people to sign up for the RedCard. My trainer was cool, but he also saw it as an opportunity to chat up the other cashiers since I was technically taking his position for the time being. As for sales floor training, my trainer showed me the basics: how to zone, search up items on the PDA and their locations on the sales floor and backroom. They also showed me around the backroom. It was all fairly simple stuff.

"Job Training" was throwing me onto someone else who had a few months experience and shadowing him around for a few weeks... Learned a lot from just doing the job.

Its a 6 week min. training. They will have you training at different stores in your district.

I was surprised, there was very very minimal job training, even for the low level of expertise required for this position. The training consisted of 5 minutes of explaining the cash register, and then they pretty much let me at it.
