I talked to a recruiter at a university job fair. I interviewed with them as part of the job fair. After that I was contacted to set up follow up interviews. They wanted me to come to their location, but I haven't been able to have the time with school, so I asked if I could do a skype interview instead. The recruiter said that it would work fine and I gave my availability. Then I was a couple days later because another day came available for them to host interviews in the near future. I respectfully declined and requested a skype interview. I was then given a date and times for my interview (two 45 minute interviews with a 15 minute break). The day before my interview (which was a Friday) I got an email to confirm my interview times. But the email said that my interview times were on Monday during one of my classes. I replied and told the recruiter that those weren't the times I was planning on, but I could give other times that I'm available. Anyway, they responded and said it was a miscommunication and I got another email with the correct interview times and it said that I would use Skype.
Well the time came and I got a phone call. The interviewer asked if I was expecting the call and I said yeah, but I was expecting it on Skype. Well he said HR never told him that, and in fact his work computer didn't even have Skype installed . . . But the interview wasn't bad. It was I guess just a normal phone interview. We used collabedit.
