WalkMe has a great product set and I was excited to interview. The HR/talent rep was great and our phone interview went well. They asked about and accommodated the timing of my search process with other prospective employers, which was thoughtful and rare.
I had read GlassDoor prior, so I expected some of this, but:
Both the in-person Raleigh director and the remote executive level absolutely grilled me about the choice of my demo site for the presentation, to the point that in both cases I barely presented anything. The Raleigh director was very nice about it, but the exec was not. It's like they have this strange culture of grilling the presentations. That said, I did my best in both instances and tried to speak to the product as much as possible. I came out feeling like they went okay.
This was unlike any other interview process I've had, among dozens of tech companies. To some other folks' points, they didn't seem to care about me as a person at all. It was largely a monetary focus and "how can I make the customer more money via WalkMe". No fluff questions, no small talk. I'm sure they're a great company to work for, but I probably wouldn't want to work for the people with whom I interviewed.
