Pros

Most of my co-workers were amazing

Cons

Management is horrendous! The favoritism is so sickening! Management treats you like you’re an idiot. All they care about is how yours numbers appear on a report so they look good. Sweatshop at its finest.

Great place to work if you're a man...

Pros

Can meet some great people to work with...outside of management or long term employees

Cons

If you are a well-educated and highly qualified woman with a shred of ambition or one who desires career advancement, do not work here. This is a good ol' boys network and there is no place for women on the career ladder. If you are performing your job well and they like you, your manager will lie to you about possible promotions to keep you going. Like most of the reviews here, nepotism is rampant. The company is cheap with its employees, pay is low. Men with less qualifications and experience can shoot right up the ladder. As a woman, you will never go anywhere and be given the *crap* work to take care of. I am surprised this company has not been sued for discrimination. Very cliquish - don't look to be included if you haven't worked here forever. I've never seen such immature and rude behavior from management anywhere I've worked. They will walk right past you and not say a simple 'hello" or acknowledge you. Anywhere else I've worked management is friendly to all employees, not just to each other or their sycophants. Information is not shared. You can be working on a project or assignment and things will change or there is new, crucial information that affects your effort. Your manager won't tell you and you'll waste your time going in the wrong direction. Your manager may barely talk to you. Some men are promoted and may have average job skills, but are not socially equipped. You'll suffer their lack. Men will be placed on a career advancement path, women just need to be quiet and do their jobs with no expectation of opportunity.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding DHI Mortgage. At DHIM we place great focus on diversity. One example of this - is the fact that at least 50% of our leadership positions in the DHIM corporate office are held by women. We value feedback, and we will continue to ensure DHIM remains a culturally diverse and rewarding work environment. If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to reach out to a member of Executive Management to further discuss. Thank you again

Pros

Free lunch. One thing I was glad I enjoyed is the furniture sales. They will sell home furniture for almost nothing. Take full advantage of this company perk.

Cons

Where do I start. The laziest managers they do not take time to understand how the loans are processed, they cannot answer questions without referring you to training. They micro manage send you 1000 emails on issues that can be resolved with one email. Very petty when it comes to resolutions. HR will side with management do not bother sending your complaints to HR you will get fired soon after that. Loan Processors are overworked and underpaid. Management has unrealistic expectations from the LP. As an LP the greatest challenge is having a pipeline of say 13 loans, you need to complete Asset checklist, LP checklist , closer checklist PTC report sub FA and Sub CA report and respond to emails over 100 emails on a daily basis as well as keep up with Buddy checklist. The result you get burnt out sick. Do not expect to get any support from manager everything is about the numbers. All the systems management has put in place for their employees are a big flop. This is why no one has worked for this company as an LP for more than 2 years. You cannot last in that LP position. Piece of advise if start working for DHI have a 2 year plan to exit depending on how good you can put up with their ridiculous work conditions. Good luck
