We held a St. Patrick’s Day cooking challenge for employees! Two recipes (colcannon and cottage or shepherd's pie) were shared and employees had a week to make the dish, add their creative spin to it and submit it for votes. Which dish do you think was the company favorite?
As part of our 23andMe+ membership, we released a new report powered by 23andMe research on irritable bowel syndrome. This report allows members to learn about their genetic likelihood of developing the condition, which occurs in the large intestine and can cause uncomfortable symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation.
To kick off #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re highlighting our employee resource group, 23andShe. 23andMe employees created this group to promote community involvement and empowerment through programs, educational events and volunteer activities. It also provides a space for women to connect and build community. In celebration of the month, we heard from four members of 23andShe’s leadership team on the impact of the group and their hopes for the future.
Our final speaker series this month in honor of Black History Month was a fireside chat with Bozoma Saint John, Netflix Global CMO. 23andMe's Tosha Studmire facilitated the chat and dove in to our theme this month of resiliency and joy in the Black and African diaspora. During their chat, Bozoma discussed the importance of intentionally seeking joy every day, embracing past pain and experience to gain strength, reclaiming stereotypes placed on Black women and how she's learned to bring her whole self to work and trust her destiny.
