Eighteen years ago, Bo Russell applied to ADT after relocating from New York to Knoxville, Tennessee. It was meant to be temporary. A job to help him settle into a new area. “I had no plans on being here forever,” he says. “It was a job to get my foot in the door, get used to the area, and whatnot.” Over time, that perspective changed. The work became personal. The responsibility became real. And the mission became something Bo believed in deeply. “You really become what it is that you do,” he says. “You believe in what it is that we do. Helping save people’s lives.

We’re proud to spotlight ADT’s internship program, built to help early‑career talent develop real skills, solve real business challenges, and make an impact from day one. Interns take on meaningful, hands‑on work that helps move the business forward. They contribute to active projects, participate in ongoing professional development, build connections through mentorship and inclusion, diversity, and belonging groups, and collaborate on capstone work they present to leaders across the business. Along the way, they form a strong community with fellow interns and colleagues across teams, helping propel their career forward. Ashley Cran’s journey shows what’s possible. She started as an intern and is now a full‑time Product Lifecycle Manager, continuing to grow, lead, and make an impact at ADT. Her story reflects the power of hands‑on experience, mentorship, and being trusted with work that matters. This May, we’re proud to welcome ADT’s next group of interns as they help advance our mission to keep people safe.
Being a top performer rarely comes down to a single moment or metric. Rather, it’s based on how people lead, support others and respond when challenges arise. This Women’s History Month, three winners of ADT’s highest employee honor reflect on the often-unseen work that drives their success.
For years, ADT has been working to help first responders get to those who need them as quickly as possible. So when two ADT leaders saw a concept version of ADT’s iconic yard sign that illuminates as an extra beacon when help is needed, they knew it was something worth pursuing.
Jaswinder Singh didn’t plan to start a career at ADT. In fact, he almost walked out of the job fair where it all began. “I was fresh out of college, totally overwhelmed,” he recalls. “I’d never been to a job fair before, and I was ready to leave.” He stepped away from the crowd to catch his breath and that’s when someone from ADT approached him. It wasn’t a formal pitch, just a genuine conversation away from the crowd, and that unexpected chat led to an invite to interview. “My wife had to drive me to the interview,” he laughs. “I wasn’t even planning to go.” That was 20 years ago. Jaswinder accepted the offer and began his first job in sales, and Edmund Young, the friendly face who first approached him, became his hiring manager. Today, Jaswinder is a National Sales Trainer, helping shape the success of ADT’s sales teams across the country.
ADT, Origin AI and Verisure today announced a five-year renewable commercial agreement under which Verisure will continue to license Origin AI’s proprietary AI sensing technology. The agreement follows ADT’s acquisition of Origin AI. Together, ADT and Verisure represent two of the world’s largest residential security providers.
For years, the smart home promised a more connected, more convenient life. Consumers were introduced to app-controlled lights and thermostats and Wi-Fi-enabled doorbells. It was a meaningful leap forward — but it’s only the beginning. At ADT, we believe your home shouldn’t just react, it should anticipate. It shouldn’t just notify, it should interpret. It shouldn’t just connect devices, it should connect the dots.
When Breanna Henry joined ADT in June, it wasn’t just a new job — it was the next chapter in a family story that started nearly 80 years ago.
