The Veteran ALLYs Employee Resource Group celebrated its focus month throughout November with learning events, celebrations, and community outreach. The month included a series of conversations spotlighting the different branches of the military, a paracord bracelet event, and many other sessions. The Ally teammates also joined more than 2,000 participants in the Charlotte Veterans Day Parade to show their support. The month was all about honoring service, learning from our veterans, and staying connected to the communities we serve.
Food insecurity affects 1 in 7 U.S. households, and the need is greater than ever. That’s why Ally is working with Feeding America to help provide 3 million meals* to families across the country this holiday season. But it’s not just about dollars—it’s about people. Our teammates are rolling up their sleeves and volunteering in our hometown markets to help bridge the gap. Because at Ally, we believe in doing it right for our communities. At Ally, we're committed to doing our part toward building a more sustainable future. Recent renovations at our Lewisville, Texas office include a 25% more efficient HVAC system, a centralized trash and composting program, and solar panels for our parking lot that can offset nearly 90% of the building's power. We also incorporated native species into the landscape redesign and water-efficient irrigation system to attract pollinators and reduce water usage. These initiatives not only help minimize our environmental footprint but also further our focus on creating healthy workplaces. By investing in these sustainable practices, we aim to lead by example and inspire others to take meaningful steps toward a greener tomorrow.
Let’s hear it for the students from Spelman College! The team won first place in the 7th annual Moguls in the Making entrepreneurial pitch competition, securing $20,000 scholarships each. Their innovative idea, Prospera, creates an ecosystem that builds up women-owned small businesses, increasing economic mobility in Detroit and beyond. The winning team will be featured on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Sept. 25 to share their experience and winning concept. The competition was hosted in collaboration with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and brought together 50 students from 10 HBCUs to develop solutions for economic mobility challenges in Detroit. The event included motivational messages from industry leaders, workshops, and mentorship from Detroit’s business community, providing invaluable early business experience for future leaders. Thank you to all the students who participated – the future is bright because of leaders like YOU!
Our team was proud to show up and show out as a sponsor for the 25th anniversary of the Charlotte Pride Parade this past weekend. It was a powerful day of joy, inclusion, and community while highlighting the importance of belonging for all. 💜
As the future of work continues to evolve, we understand how job stability supports financial wellbeing and drives economic mobility. That’s why we are committing $150 million+ in 2025 to support workforce development, through education, career opportunities and job creation across our charitable and community development activities. Cakeable Charlotte, one of the 57 grant recipients, provides vocational training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our initiatives in Detroit also support programs like Saturdays in the D and Tech Rising, focusing on skill-building and career advancement. We’re proud to help build a brighter future for all.
AI is on our mind here at Ally. Last week, 10,000+ teammates were granted access to our proprietary AI platform, giving them gen AI capabilities in a secure format. We celebrated the milestone with our Q3 AI Day, where more than 2,000 teammates joined us for talks on effective prompting, ways to use Ally AI in day-to-day workflows, use cases that are in production, and of course, the rules of the road. We enjoyed a lively panel discussion with Chief Risk Officer Stephanie Richard and Chief Information, Data and Digital Officer Sathish M., moderated by Dan Lemont, our AI practice lead. They talked about how Ally is mitigating risk through strong governance procedures and employee training. The discussion inspired us to think about how we can all deliver better service and more value to dealers and customers. Building the future of banking is going to require us to think big, use the power of AI responsibly, and be ready for anything the future holds. #DoItRight
