Breast cancer impacts one in eight women in the United States and 2.3 million women worldwide every year. In an effort to create meaningful engagement for employees during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), Aramark Community Relations and Aramark’s EMPOWER employee resource group, which works to drive leadership and development opportunities through the connection and engagement of women, collaborated to create volunteer activities that emphasize the company’s commitment to driving positive outcomes.
Each year in the U.S., from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the history, culture, and contributions of descendants of people from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. This year, Aramark employees celebrated Latinx history and culture with a series of Hispanic Heritage Month events designed to inform, educate, and engage fellow team members across the company.
Our incredible volunteers and Employee Resource Group members partnered with nonprofit community organizations to provide more than 2,000 backpacks and 25,000 school supplies to families across the U.S. and Santiago, Chile this summer.
