Did you know that approximately 1 in 4 Americans have some type of disability, chronic illness, or neurodivergence? July is Disability Pride Month, an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges faced by people with disabilities and to recognize their accomplishments and contributions. To celebrate, our Disability and Chronic Illness Coalition Employee Resource Group (DCIC ERG) will be hosting several events throughout the month including an ASL course with SIGNING Basics, LLC, a discussion event about parenting and disability in coordination with our Parents and Caregivers ERG, and an event around accommodations, featuring members of our Leaves and Legal teams. Read our blog to learn more and hear from members of our DCIC ERG about what this month means to them: https://lnkd.in/eJEsGhR2
This week, we hosted a Virtual Bring your Pet to Work Day, where employees were encouraged to share photos of their pets along with their name, breed and a fun fact. Having a pet as a companion while working remotely can help decrease stress and anxiety, increase physical activity and enhance overall well-being. Pets are also a great conversation starter and have allowed many of our employees to create connections with colleagues who they have not interacted with in the past. Check out some of our employee’s photos below.
