CTA’s new Austin office highlights the spirit of the city as well as the creative spirit of our staff. With nearly 50 employees spanning architecture, interior design, multiple engineering practices, and support functions, we needed more space for our growing team. The office has fantastic views of the capitol and was remodeled to include collaborative spaces, conference rooms, and a materials library, with architecture, interior design, and MEP provided by our team. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQZjD
We don’t just talk about wellness, we live by it. From work environments that inspire creativity and collaboration, to demonstrations on health and fitness topics, lunch-time walking groups, bike forays, ping-pong, foosball, and encouraging alternative commuting options, we build wellness into the fabric of our company culture. An outstanding example of this is our office in Billings, Montana, which has been recognized as a Gold Level Healthy Worksite by the Healthy By Design Coalition. Congrats, Billings team!
Across our 14 offices, we place an emphasis on onboarding, team building, and supporting our communities. As part of this month’s wellness activities, our colleagues in Seattle learned more about the city’s Lime bikes, bike safety and theft protection. New in our portfolio: The Thompson Lake House in Eagle, Idaho, was designed to complement its surroundings with an aesthetic guided by the beauty of raw materials. Digital technology makes the home customizable with glass hangar doors that can enclose the living space or open it up to the outdoors.
New in our portfolio: Designed with our smallest clients top of mind, Stricker Elementary School in Kimberly, Idaho, incorporates the latest in school security and technology, as well as color-theory wayfinding. A highlight of the design is a central gathering place that connects to the gym and serves as the heart of the school.
Two CTA projects were recognized as part of the 2018 Grow Smart Awards. The Garden City Artisans Wayfinding project brings visitors, residents, artisans, and businesses together through graphic design, signs, and maps that highlight the area’s unique identity and encourage enjoyment of all its amenities. The Mountain West Bank, State and 16th renovation and expansion project in downtown Boise helped create a more inviting, people-friendly space.
A mechanical engineer in our Helena office, Zoe Smith works with team members to develop plans for building HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. This includes studying climate demands and building loads, redlining documents, making calculations, modeling systems, and collaborating with architects to ensure their designs are compatible, integrated, and complimentary.
