Check out your Company Bowl for anonymous work chats.
Conversations at the coffee station have been few and far between this year which is why we recently launched PitchBrew Buddies! Employees are randomly matched with a colleague from either a different department or office location to meet for a virtual coffee chat! This has been a great way to break up the monotony of our WFH schedules and reconnect with some familiar faces.
At PitchBook, Spirit Week is a yearly tradition that is all about rallying as a team as we push to close out the final quarter of the year! Although we couldn't celebrate in person, employees showed their PitchBook spirit by logging onto a daily Zoom to connect briefly, cheers with their morning coffee, and snap a fun picture! Check out how the PitchBook People Team showed their spirit with fun backgrounds, mugs, masks, and smiles all around!
To recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, PitchBook employees learned how to make authentic Peruvian empanadas from Chef Nacho! We learned about Peruvian culture and cuisine and that our PitchBook mug is the perfect size to cut the dough to create these traditional delicacies!
Volunteering looks different in a virtual setting, fortunately, PitchBook partnered with United Way to participate in Day of Caring. Last week, we made over 200 greeting cards for isolated seniors as part of the Meals on Wheels program. Throughout September our philanthropic Panthers have also been supporting COVID-19 relief efforts by volunteering in resume review and mock interview workshops and participating in virtual food drives.
Our fantastic facilities teams have been hard at work ensuring the PitchBook office is safe and clean during the pandemic. While our Seattle office is not yet open at full capacity, we are lucky to have this crew supporting with enthusiasm and care if employees need to stop by to pick up a package or receive IT support.
In early August, our CEO, John Gabbert, and COO, Rod Diefendorf invited Tod Leiweke, CEO and Team President of the newly announced Seattle Kraken to join us for an Inspiring Success Speaker event! PitchBook is a proud partner and Suite-Level Sponsor of the NHL team and Climate Pledge Arena. We look forward to cheering on the Kraken next fall and getting the Stanley Cup back to Seattle!
A 'Make if Fun' PitchBook tradition are our monthly pizza rallies that help our teams 'Focus on Focus' as we close out the month! Although we haven't been able to enjoy the slices together, in person, we have found multiple ways throughout the pandemic to still rally and dig into some delicious zaw!
We recently partnered with local restaurant to donate pizza to our local Seattle-area first responders. It's a small token of gratitude compared to the sacrifices our first responders continue to make in the community, but we were honored to pitch in to make their day a little brighter.
We celebrated Valentine's Day early at PitchBook by partnering with Purple Cafe to host a wine tasting event for our employees! They brought in an array of red wines and taught us what foods pair best with the various types! Great way to get into the Valentine spirit.
PitchBook San Francisco officially moved into their permanent office in November! We are so excited about the expansion of this office.
