Now that the concept and basic modeling are close to complete, we enter a different phase of skin development. Instead of focusing on a single aspect of the skin, the team works on different parts at the same time. Today we’re looking at the progress we’ve made on Illaoi’s sound effects, visual effects, and recall animation http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQWei
In our last update on “Battlecast Illaoi” (now Resistance Illaoi), we were pretty close to locking in the final look for the skin. Then it was time to start transferring that concept into the game. The first step in this process was to build a 3D model of the concept art, which we then used to build-out her kit. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ61r
In 2017, we decided to try something new when it came to allowing players a behind the scenes look at the development process - we invited them to take part in choosing the next skin. Once players chose Battlecast Illaoi, it was time to lock down a concept! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ67Y
