SSOE's Vince DiPofi featured in Toledo newspaper The Blade along with fellow panelists from the DEAI Alliance of Northwest Ohio's Diversity Expo Summit. The City of Toledo Mayor also quoted within.
Yesterday was one of our favorite holidays: Pi Day! To celebrate, our Toledo office’s Employee Club offered 12 varieties of pie for employees to choose from, and Chick-Fil-A stopped by to serve up lunch. Fun fact: SSOE’s Employee Club President Ronda Friesel made all 22 pies herself! Run by employees, for employees, SSOE Employee Clubs promote educational, social, and recreational activities to encourage intra-office fellowship. As a full-time, part-time, or contract employee, you automatically become a member and can immediately participate in the various activities and programs offered. #PiDay #chooseSSOE
We had a great time at Central State University today! CSU is a public, historically black land-grant university in Wilberforce, Ohio with ABET-accredited mechanical and environmental engineering programs. Business Leader of Talent Acquisition Mike Alek was on hand to talk to students about our Co-op / Internship Program's high-quality work assignments and SSOE's employee-centric culture. #chooseSSOE

Heads up Huntsville, we’ve moved! SSOE recently moved our Huntsville, Alabama office to Regions Center at 200 Clinton Avenue West. Our new location is conveniently located close to I-565 in downtown Huntsville. As our Southeast presence continues to grow, we’re excited to expand our Huntsville operations to better serve our local clients. #SSOEsoutheast
We had a great time at Toledo’s Go Red for Women event yesterday! Our CEO Vince DiPofi, who is the American Heart Association of Northwest Ohio Chair this year, joined some of our women in leadership at the SSOE-sponsored table. Vince became a member of the American Heart Association of Northwest Ohio's Board of Directors in 2019 and was named incoming chair in 2022. The health of SSOE employees and health equity in the Toledo-area community are causes he’s particularly passionate about, and the Go Red for Women movement has educated millions of women about their #1 killer: cardiovascular disease. #GoRedforWomen #SSOEcares
March is Women’s History Month, and today marks International Women’s Day. Here at SSOE, we honor the women before us, elevate the women who inspire us, and pave the way for the women of the future. We also recognize the need to continue to improve women’s equality in the AEC industry and are committed to forging an organization that emulates the world around us by pioneering change and modeling progress with a purpose. #EmbracingEquity #WomensHistoryMonth #InternationalWomensDay
Our staff in Austin recently got together for a delicious dinner at the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse overlooking Lake Travis. Our team is up to 40 employees now, nearly double what we started with in July of last year when we announced we had officially secured our location on Directors Boulevard. Employees have been functioning remotely and are looking forward to the completion of our new office in the city's McKinney neighborhood, which is currently wrapping up construction. #SSOEaustin #chooseSSOE
Earlier this week, our Toledo office bookended Black History Month with a delicious lunch catered by local Black-owned businesses. Island Soul provided its signature fried and “Not Jamaican” jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and Southern-style greens. And we didn’t forget dessert—Jera’s Heavenly Sweet provided a full spread of tasty treats. Employees were asked to donate $5 for lunch, which will benefit the Art Tatum Zone, a not-for-profit neighborhood revitalization organization. Special thanks to our Toledo office’s Employee Club and Candice Harrison, Director of DEI, for coordinating! #BlackHistoryMonth #chooseSSOE
Life-focused education: SSOE recently helped BGSU renovate a 1960’s building to house the school’s Life Design program. Grounded in design-thinking principles, Life Design allows students to explore big questions as they shape their college and career journey. With the renovation now complete, SSOE’s Bob Siebenaller and Tiffany Senn were excited to join our client for their open house last week.
