Employees at our Austin office recently enjoyed an outing to the Treaty Oak Distilling Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas—home to Ghost Hill Bourbon grain-to-glass whiskey and Waterloo Gin. Giving thanks means giving back! Several members of our Toledo-based HR team helped the United Way of Greater Toledo pack meal kits at the Islamic Food Bank on Friday. More than 150 volunteers came together to pack 563 meal kits, each containing two weeks’ worth of food. These kits will be distributed to families throughout Northwest Ohio in an effort to help those living paycheck to paycheck keep food on the table. #SSOEcares

Last month, SSOE’s President Catherine Myers, PE participated in a panel on internal ownership transition within employee-owned firms as part of the AEC Advisors Chief Executive Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona. With women making up just 15% or less of attendees to the exclusive event for CEOs and presidents in the AEC industry, Cathy also spearheaded what resulted in a well-attended women’s happy hour event on the first night of the summit.
Our Mexico office’s Employee Club recently held their much-anticipated bowling tournament, last held three years ago. The event welcomed over 40 employees and served as a fun opportunity to interact outside of the office. To sweeten the victory, everyone on the winning team received a Starbucks gift card. #SSOEmexico #chooseSSOE
