Autodesk recently named SSOE’s Lauren Collier in their “40 Under 40: Champions of Construction” list, which honors innovative individuals who continue to push the industry forward. An architect by education who transitioned to technology early in her career, Lauren has been a change agent here at SSOE—bringing together multidisciplinary teams who’ve gone on to deliver some of the most complex industrial projects in North America.

Avondale Estates' Town Green received the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Excellence Award in the Great Places category! SSOE’s design leads, Bill Clark and Sheri Locke, joined Avondale Estate’s mayor and team to celebrate at Friday’s ceremony. Known for its Tudor-style downtown, Avondale Estates is named on the National Registrar of Historic Places and listed as one of the “top family-friendly cities and towns” in the U.S. earlier this year. Now, it’s also known for its award-winning greenspace that replaced parking lots, idle land, and low-rise buildings. #SSOEsoutheast

Earlier this week, CEO Vince DiPofi presented at St. Francis de Sales School’s Global Salesian Leadership Symposium. A former Knight, Vince’s workshop, “Building Your Personal Brand with Intent,” was presented to juniors and seniors who had numerous workshops to choose from—all facilitated by prominent Toledo-area leaders. At the beginning of his session, which he facilitated three separate times, Vince asked students why they chose his workshop. The best answer he got all day: “You have a really cool name, so I just wanted to meet you.” It doesn’t get much better than a teenager thinking you’re cool.
