Through our use of technology and Lean processes, we make our projects as efficient as possible, resulting in more than $1.5 billion in savings returned to clients since we began tracking in 2009—and $61 million in 2021 alone. We take that as proof that we bring together the people, process, and technology to provide an integrated solution that meets our clients’ business objectives and gives them the competitive advantage needed in today’s marketplace. Value Promise is our quest to deliver value through high-quality projects that are on schedule, with fewer problems, and for lower total cost. It equals the project savings we document for clients. #PerformanceReview
At SSOE, we wake up every day driven by one purpose: Our mission to deliver unparalleled client value that advances the AEC industry. The result? Both employees and clients who consistently say they would recommend SSOE to a colleague and well over $1 billion dollars in documented project savings for clients. We couldn’t do what we do without a remarkable team. Our collaborative, employee-centric culture offers flexible working arrangements and a hybrid work plan with both work-from-home and in-office options. To support our recent growth, we’re hiring architects, engineers, project managers, corporate positions, and more across the U.S. #chooseSSOE
We survey. We track. We measure. And as part of our annual client satisfaction survey, we ask clients to rate us on our use of technology to design, deliver, and lead projects. Nearly 40% of clients surveyed said they see SSOE as an industry leader—a stat we look forward to improving over the next year. From digital twins to data management, technology continues to be a huge driver in helping us accomplish the aggressive goal we’ve set as a company: to make SSOE 50% more efficient in executing projects. #PerformanceReview

At SSOE, we believe what isn’t measured, can’t be improved. So, we routinely take a critical look at how we’re performing and ask our clients to list our areas of strength as part of our annual client satisfaction survey. Over the past decade, our clients have consistently reported that our people are one of our greatest strengths and differentiators, and this year was no different. With our acquisition of Southeast U.S. design firm Stevens & Wilkinson, we welcomed nearly 100 new colleagues to the SSOE team—which grew by over 350 employees in total this year. Technical expertise, client familiarity, and our multidisciplinary workforce remain strengths that have also been noted in previous years while communication, flexibility, and accessibility were new to the list in 2021. #PerformanceReview

And SSOE has our Performance Review to highlight the results of our client satisfaction survey. We’re proud to report that 98% of all clients surveyed this year said they would recommend SSOE to a colleague, a testament to our strong client relationships and successful project performance. #PerformanceReview
Having fun while doing good is right up our alley! Last Friday, some of our Toledo office employees and their families let the pins fall where they may at the Junior Achievement of Northwestern Ohio’s Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser. Throughout the years, SSOE has partnered with Junior Achievement—an organization that inspires and prepares young people to succeed—as part of our commitment to supporting communities where we live and work. In fact, our history with Junior Achievement goes all the way back to our founder Al Samborn. This past summer, SSOE teamed up with The JDI Group and Turner Construction to develop an 8-week series on careers in architecture, engineering, and construction. #SSOEcares
