"I'm grateful for the learning and development opportunities at Thomson Reuters. I highly recommend joining our virtual networking program, Ten Thousand Coffees, and gaining hands-on experience through our internal Talent Gig program. These programs have allowed me to connect with people across the organization, not only in different segments but in different countries as well. In addition, I've also joined several of our Business Resource Groups that focus on professional development, diversity, volunteering, and market partnerships. As a member of the Asian Affinity Network, Black Employee Network, Women at TR, and Early Careers Network, I have grown personally and professionally from participating in forums, workshops, and events at Thomson Reuters. I love saying "what's next?!" Thomson Reuters has not disappointed me in the variety and quality of possibilities." Meet D., Customer Trainer, Kansas City

"One of my favorite things about working at Thomson Reuters is the flexibility. Last week, I took advantage of our Work from Anywhere benefit to spend a week in Arizona to visit my sister and brother-in-law. It was the best experience to balance work and family without taking vacation. Work during the day, visit at night, and relax with a long holiday weekend." Bryce, Associate HR Business Partner, Product, Minneapolis
"Helping veterans is particularly important to me. I was born in East Asia, and I did not come from a military family. Because I had relatives who came under government scrutiny, my home was routinely visited by the military police. In the late 70s, my parents decided to move to the United States and give my brothers and me a life with freedoms and opportunities they could only imagine. It took a long time for me to understand the real meaning of freedom and to realize that my family's freedom comes at a cost paid by those who selflessly serve our country and protect the freedoms of many they will never know." Meet Peggy, Senior Legal Editor, Texas
Turkey day in Minneapolis St. Paul! 🦃 One of our favorite annual traditions took place earlier this week. Teammates in Minneapolis handed out more than 3,300 turkeys to retirees and employees to use for their Thanksgiving dinners. The best part: more than 1,700 turkeys were donated to local charities!
"As a US Navy Veteran and immigrant, Veterans month is very special to me. I'm honored to be among the less than one percent of people currently serving. I reflect on how lucky I am to live and serve in a country with a long history of defending freedom and protecting and helping the most vulnerable. I think about the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the veterans that have come before me. While onboarding, I learned about the many business resource groups at Thomson Reuters and immediately wanted to join the Veterans Network to connect with those who shared similar values. As a new employee, meeting people with whom you can relate and share similar values is always comforting." Meet Mirna, Lieutenant Commander, US Navy, and Sr Director, PMO, Thomson Reuters

“I’m a Captain in the US Navy Reserve and serve as a Foreign Area Officer currently assigned to US Naval Forces Europe, based in Naples, Italy as my “part-time” military job. At Thomson Reuters, I’m a part of the General Counsel’s Office in Minneapolis. Thomson Reuters has been very supportive of my service requirements, which can take anywhere from an occasional weekend to a few weeks or longer. This year, I’ll be in Denmark, Latvia, and Portugal at various times, supporting planned fleet coordination efforts and exercises. I started my Navy career on active duty before transitioning to the Reserve, and I have served for over 22 years now. For me, Veterans month is a time to reflect upon, learn from, and show our gratitude for the dedication and service of those who came before us, those who served in earlier generations or conflicts, and my peers serving now. Being a member of the Veterans Employee Network provides a sense of community and camaraderie among fellow employees who all share a common background." Meet Andrew, Captain, US Navy Reserve, & Sr. Counsel, Thomson Reuters
Last week, the Minneapolis Veterans Network hosted The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Fall Conference. 120 external participants from 50+ organizations from across the state of Minnesota joined us at our campus for the "Uniting Communities" conference. The objective was to provide a unique environment to build relationships, share best practices, and learn about opportunities to support our veterans and communities. We look forward to more activities across our campuses to celebrate Veterans Day. #WorkingAtTR #VeteransDay
