The person running the training didn't seem to want to be there. Training would be scheduled from 9a-3p and most days he would quickly run through the lesson plan and let everyone out by 12p. All he would say was learn your script and the rest will come.

You have to ask for a lot of help which is difficult for me at times. But they do provide training daily in the office and also constant ongoing training in the field. I can tell that my mentor Levi, really cares about my success. I have also noticed that a lot of other managers spend a lot of time with the people they train. Even though my mentor is Levi Porto, the other managers also help me out whenever I need it. I truly love that they give me so much to be successful!

The particular State General Agent for whom I worked in Burlington, MA (and her husband, to whom I didn't report -- not that he cared) forced all employees to memorize and to utilize her awkward, poorly worded script verbatim, both on the phone scheduling the compulsory minimum of 24 weekly appointments (30+ appointments were expected, but that total was rarely approached), as well as in clients' homes when making sales. This practice was not changed even after I was able to double the sales of the second highest producer for six straight weeks (consecutively, in a row) and demonstrated the drastically different approach I took.

There is no PAID job training, so while you are training, you have no money to pay the bills.

It depends on who your trainer is. Some trainers will dedicate to you and make sure you ate a top writer, while others all they care is to code you that way the trainer can get their monthly bonus from the rest of their team.

This offices standard daily practices and expectation are not documented. I am referring to when you have to be in the office, when you can leave, how many appointments MUST be scheduled etc. The training regarding insurance products was acceptable but dependent on who you were training with. Sometime it is with someone with very little experience selling their product line.

Good fundamentals of insurance. You have to pay for your own licenses, though, and there is little or no continuing training once you start.

The training process is both amazing and intense! It is great because you are gaining so much Information and experience dealing with your clients and your are not doing it alone! you also do not feel Micro managed at the same time. You have so much fun meeting the clients.
It is intense because you work long hours but it is worth it because you get so much out of it! it is all at how you look at things!
