We came away inspired by this evening of celebration and purpose, which included a silent auction, dinner, and program. Last week, our Draper campus held their Women’s History Month festivities. Together, our associates assembled nearly 900 feminine hygiene kits that will be donated today to the Geraldine E. King Women’s Resource Center. As part of our celebrations, we hosted Better Days, a traveling exhibit, dedicated to elevating Utah’s women’s voices – past and present. We gave away copies of Champions of Change: 25 Women Who Made History and made a donation to this empowering organization. We also enjoyed some delicious treats from Cakes By Edith and Sheer Ambrosia, two incredible women-owned businesses in Utah. Shout out to our remote associates who will be assembling kits for Operations Dignity and our Charlotte associates who assembled and donated kits to Turning Point. “We had a HUGE snowstorm on February 22nd in Utah. It was a stressful day with a snow day for daycare and school, and work still needing to be done. With most people opting to stay home and work for the day, I was a little worried about how our parking lot would be for those driving in for the board meeting. I was pleasantly surprised to see that our parking lot was completely clear with easy access to the building. John even made the comment that "our parking lot was the clearest road" on his commute! Josh stopped by throughout the day to make sure all of our needs were met. He even mentioned that he was going to scrape everyone's car after it stopped snowing. I thought that was so nice! It really hit home when I went out to my car with full hands in a huge rush to get home to my kids and poor husband, who was trying to work and watch them at the same time. I was so grateful I could just hop in my car and head home without spending extra time in the cold and wind. Thank you, Josh!" Work-life balance, often a corporate buzz word with little recognition behind it. We didn't like the status quo, so we created a program that rewards associates for finding that balance. Through our wellness program, associates earn gift cards by taking positive actions in their physical, mental, social, and spiritual health. Go on a nature walk, drink enough water, learn a new skill, or turn your phone off for an hour and do some meditation. These are but a few of the activities that associates are rewarded for. Quite a few of our associates knocked their wellness points out of the park! Over 85% of our associates took advantage of our wellness program, accomplishing hundreds of challenges, racking up thousands of wellness points, and earning some money to boot. We even had 50 impressive associates take their wellness goals to the next level, earning 40,000+ points – the threshold for max rewards (including an exclusive Stanley mug, only the finest in hydration vessels). Work-life balance is a journey, not a destination, and we love helping our associates as they take every step.
Our Draper and Salt Lake campuses donned their lounge shirts to participate in our annual bowling tournament. This is one of the most anticipated events every year, and the 2023 tourney was no different. Every lane was full of teams of 4-5 associates, each going strike for strike to take home the coveted bowling trophy. It was a great excuse for everyone to get together, share a slice of pizza, and have a lot of fun.
