When you think of mentoring, you usually think about a more experienced employee teaching a younger one, but the learning goes in both directions. Recognizing that, we’ve started a reverse mentoring program! Automotive Managing Director Cliff Ruud and International Relations Manager Chandler Dalton are among the new pairs of mentees and mentors. “I’m hoping to better understand how younger generations think and what their expectations are in the workplace,” Cliff says. “Greater understanding of our younger associates helps ‘seasoned’ people like me to be more effective developing the next generation of leaders.”

Our AAA Cares ambassadors cleaned, baked brownies and pizza, and visited with children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Lake Nona. The Ronald McDonald House – which provides a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at hospitals and medical facilities in Orlando — has been one of our AAA Cares-supported charities for several years. #AAACares
Supporting our troops and veterans is one of the pillars of our AAA Cares program. A heartfelt thanks to our associates who stuffed teddy bears for military families, and made paracord bracelets and wrote letters to troops overseas, working with Operation Gratitude. Throughout the month we’re also collecting donations of clothing and household goods for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. #military #veterans #gratitude #AAACares

People & Culture Coordinator Ivondelisse De Jesus loves to know what makes people tick. So, she’s studying industrial organization psychology at Albizu University, with plans to use that knowledge in the workplace to identify people’s abilities and create more efficient teams. Our tuition reimbursement program is helping her expand her horizons. We pay associates up to 90% of the cost of tuition per course for work related degrees. #employeeappreciation
