Happy Women's History Month! March is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history and in our communities everywhere. At Dominium, we honor the women who lead with purpose, support one another and shape the future, within our company, the communities we serve and across the country. A cornerstone of our commitment to empowering women is the Dominium Allied Women’s Network (DAWN). DAWN fosters connection, mentorship and professional development, providing opportunities to build relationships across departments and regions, share knowledge and elevate women’s voices and leadership throughout Dominium. #WomensHistoryMonth #EmpowerWomen #DAWN #WomenLeaders
Happy Community Manager Appreciation Day! On Monday, January 26, we honored the incredible Community Managers who bring our communities to life. Their leadership, compassion and dedication make a meaningful difference every single day. We asked team members to share what they value most about our Community Managers, and the response was overwhelming. Below are just a few of their messages. Last week, we were proud to also celebrate the Grand Opening of The Safford in Marana, Arizona. This new community introduces 200 affordable apartment homes, providing families in the Tucson metro area with a high-quality place to call home. The Safford offers thoughtfully designed floor plans, including 108 two-bedroom, 72 three-bedroom and 20 four-bedroom apartments. Residents enjoy a variety of amenities, such as an outdoor playground, courtyards throughout the property, a pool, clubhouse, fitness room and indoor play area. We were honored to welcome Arizona Department of Housing Assistant Deputy Director of Housing & Community Development Keon Montgomery, State Representative Rachel Keshel, Pima County Chief of Staff CJ Boyd and Councilmember John Officer, alongside Dominium Senior Development Associate Rodrigo Dorador, whose remarks commemorated this milestone. We extend our gratitude to everyone who joined us for the Grand Opening, as well as to our development, financial and community partners whose collaboration made this project possible. Last month, Regional Maintenance Manager Darron B., in collaboration with Dominium’s corporate maintenance team, led a national virtual EPA Section 608 certification for Dominium maintenance team members across the country. This certification is essential for team members who work on the refrigerator side of HVAC systems and demonstrates a deep understanding of air conditioning systems, federal regulations and the environmental impact of HVAC operations. Earning the EPA certification is no easy feat. Each participant must pass a 100-question, proctored exam covering the safe handling and recovery of refrigerants used in HVAC systems. The exam is divided into four sections: Core, Type I, Type II and Type III. Technicians who successfully complete all four earn the prestigious Universal EPA Certification, and impressive achievement in the field of maintenance. “It’s a major step forward in their technical development and a huge win for our maintenance teams across Dominium,” shares Darron. This accomplishment reflects not only their technical skills but also their commitment to personal and professional growth. Congratulations to the following team members who earned their EPA certifications! #Dominium #Maintenance #EPA #ProfessionalDevelopment
May is Affordable Housing Month – a time to raise awareness, advocate for solutions and celebrate the progress being made to ensure everyone has access to a place to call home. At Dominium, we believe that housing is the foundation for opportunity. Affordable housing is essential to supporting families, fostering economic mobility and strengthening communities. We are proud to contribute to making it possible and to help build a brighter future for all. Regional Maintenance Manager Darron B. offered his perspective on the month of recognition: "In this industry, there are many different paths you can take. I’ve chosen to stay rooted in affordable housing because I believe everyone deserves access to a safe, stable and dignified place to live. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s one grounded in purpose. The impact we make is seen every day in the lives of the people we serve." This month, let’s take the opportunity to reflect, learn and act—because at Dominium, What We Do Hits Home. #AffordableHousingMonth #Dominium #WhatWeDoHitsHome
