Meet Curnishia Paggett, Lead Certified Nursing Assistant at Morning Pointe of East Hamilton in Ooltewah, TN. She helps train other CNAs and has a passion for memory care. She believes her work has made her a stronger CNA, a more capable communicator and an overall better person. Families' gratitude means a lot to her. "That's how you feel at the end of the day," Curnishia shared. "You really make a difference in the families' lives. That's what keeps me going."
As we celebrated Administrative Professionals Day on April 26, meet Vickie Middleton, Business Office Manager at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Lexington, Kentucky. Vickie started at the Alzheimer's/memory care community as a Receptionist and became BOM last year. "My stepfather had Alzheimer's, and watching him decline in his health was heartbreaking," Vickie shared. "If I can help families connect with their loved one, it's a joy. This is a great place to work. Everyone works together as a team."
Meet Henry Nichols, Receptionist at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Lexington, KY, an Alzheimer's Center of Excellence. He has been in the role for about 7 months and values the contributions he is able to make in others' lives. "Working at The Lantern is sharing the light of hope in times when it's dark and shadowy," Henry shared. "We are the light to our residents and families and to each other as coworkers. The Lantern is so much more than a symbol – it's a reality. Every day needs a hint of light."
Meet Terrance Skillern, Food Services Director at Morning Pointe of Calhoun, Georgia. Terrance has worked for Morning Pointe for 10 years, starting as FSD at The Lantern Alzheimer's Center of Excellence in Collegedale, TN. He moved to the Calhoun building for a change of pace. "I like the communication with the residents and workers," he said. "I just like to talk and get to know everybody."

Jordan Dessaint is a 3rd-shift Resident Assistant at Morning Pointe of Knoxville, Tennessee. She has been with the company for 3.5 years and loves making residents smile. “Sometimes they are having a hard day and just need some caring company,” she said. “I like working at Morning Pointe for the atmosphere and understanding bosses and all of the holiday activities for me to bring my kids to.”

Meet James Ford, Business Office Director at Morning Pointe of Lenoir City, Tennessee, and The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Lenoir City, an assisted living and memory care campus. James started with Morning Pointe about 7 years ago as a cook, then worked as a Resident Assistant, and then Lead Resident Assistant before stepping into his current role. “The people at Morning Pointe believed in me before I believed in myself,” James shared.
Meet Kailan Marbury, Business Office Director at Morning Pointe of East Hamilton in Chattanooga, TN. She is about to celebrate 6 years with the company. She started as a receptionist when the building opened. "I like to think I gain extra grandparents, people that ask about my children care about me as a person," she said. Kailan started as a receptionist when the building opened. "Don't think that what your nametag says is it," she said. "You have so many different avenues to be promoted because Morning Pointe likes to grow within."
Meet Christine Elder, Lead Certified Nursing Assistant for dayshift at Morning Pointe of Athens, TN, Assisted Living. She has been a CNA since 1997 and has worked at Morning Pointe for about 5 years, three years on third shift and two years on first shift. “I love helping the patients with anything that I can,” Christine said. “I love spending time with the residents, whether it’s fixing their hair or sitting down and visiting with them.” Christine enjoys the work environment at Morning Pointe of Athens. “Everybody is just really nice and helps each other out,” Christine said.
