For the 15th year in a row, Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is designated as a "Best Children's Hospital" by U.S. News & World Report and is #1 for Kids in Central Florida for 2024-2025. 🎉 Orlando Health also is recognized with five pediatric programs among the Top 50 in the nation: ⭐ #24 Pediatric diabetes and endocrinology ⭐ #26 (tie) Neonatology ⭐ #49 (tie) Pediatric neurology and neurosurgery ⭐ #49 (tie) Pediatric pulmonology and lung surgery ⭐ Top 50 Pediatric and adolescent behavioral health With the addition of adult cardiology (#47) and adult diabetes and endocrinology (#45), there currently are seven Top 50 programs across the healthcare system. Taking patient care to the next level! Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital has been designated as a Certified Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. The team at Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital has been researching, preparing and training for nearly a year to earn the designation. Medical professionals in the emergency room and inpatient units have received specialized stroke education, that will be reviewed annually. Now that Orlando Health Horizon West Hospital has earned the Certified Primary Stroke Center designation, ✨ALL✨ Orlando Health hospitals in Florida are equipped to care for stroke patients.
We're so excited to introduce the new Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute - Bayfront, one of several services that will be housed in the Innovation District’s Orlando Health Medical Pavilion - Institute Square upon its completion in 2025. 🎉 From headaches and migraines to complex conditions like stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, patients have access to an array of experienced doctors and full wrap-around services. Central Neurology joined our medical group this July, building on the already robust neuroscience programs, including a Comprehensive Stroke Center and the longest existing accredited Level 4 Epilepsy Center in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
