Katelyn Hampel, BS in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University. She is currently working in the Washington D.C. metro area. “This is my third summer at Rosendin, and I've had the opportunity to work in positions in both engineering and project management. The people that I work with at Rosendin are all dedicated, success driven individuals who have a hard-working mentality. Not only do they care about the job succeeding, but they are motivated to keep the customers happy, make the project the best it can be, and truly care about the working conditions for the hands in the field. Another great aspect is the exposure you receive to Rosendin’s scope of projects and opportunities. The time spent working at Rosendin has allowed me to develop professional relationships and friendships with colleagues that will help me succeed after my educational career is over.”
Rosendin was recognized by Bay Area News Group as one of the Top Workplaces for 2019. Companies that have been crowned as one of the Top Workplaces have thoroughly demonstrated a commitment to their employees through outstanding leadership and to their local communities through various charitable and volunteer initiatives.
Rosendin's Prineville, OR office hosted the Associated General Contractors Oregon-Columbia Chapter Educator Externship on Tuesday. Eighteen educators toured our warehouse and prefab shop as well as one of our active project sites. The Externship is an intensive eight-day program that bridges the gap and exposes educators of all levels and subject matter to the diverse facets of the construction industry. The goal is for educators to inform more students of opportunities and provide resources to those who may want to pursue a career in the trades.
Embracing everything from cloud-based computing, mobility, the latest prefabrication techniques to advancements in BIM. Rosendin leverages innovative technologies to counter the various challenges in the industry. However, more than the technology itself, Fred Meeske, Corporate Director of BIM Services tells Construction Tech Review, “Our strength lies in our ability to adopt new technology at a rate corresponding to its development. The ability to come up with a solution for a problem before implementing it is one of the things that set Rosendin apart from the competition.” http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMEgP
A $21 million heating and power expansion project on Arizona State University’s Tempe campus is designed to handle the growth of the research and laboratory buildings for at least another 20 years with uninterrupted power. The new turbine operations are estimated to avoid 4,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent a year! #Rosendin to be part of a project that allows for more energy efficiency, a cleaner environment, and eliminating the potential of lost research is very rewarding. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vME5e
Welcome back, Colton Grainger, a senior at Michigan State University studying Construction Management! Colton is a second-year project management intern with #Rosendin working in our Glen Burnie, MD office. “Rosendin’s internship program is great! We work on extremely challenging and unique projects that make an impact on the community. I love how I get individualized mentor-ship, am given real responsibilities, and treated as a member of the team. I am given every opportunity to succeed and the support that I need as a young professional. I would highly recommend Rosendin’s internship program to anyone interested in electrical construction.”
Christian Messick, returning to Rosendin for his second internship, working in Los Angeles, CA. “I am going into my senior year at Central College and originally came to Rosendin as an intern to follow in my father’s footsteps. I enjoyed my first year so much that I have returned for a second year. The work atmosphere here is awesome and the week we get to spend in San Jose being taught and entertained by the top management shows us that the company is serious about their intern program and retaining the interns for life long careers. I am excited to return to Central College for my senior year following this internship, but am eagerly awaiting my return after school to begin my career at Rosendin. With great people, good pay and unmatched benefits including the ESOP program I know that this is the place for me!”

Summer means that it's internship time, at Rosendin. We are fortunate to have 20 interns returning for a second or third summer with the company, including Charla Johnson, working in Rosendin's Hawaii location. "After my first year interning at Rosendin, I knew this was the company I wanted to work for when I graduate and potentially until I retire. The thing that stood out to me the most is how here in the Hawaii district office we are a family. Everyone shares the Aloha spirit and cares for each other, and even though we are an ocean away from the corporate office, it is apparent that we still have their support and are well connected to them. Everyone’s love for Rosendin is evident in their attitude, dedication, and passion. All the workers that I have interacted with, whether it is my co-workers in Hawaii office, the HR department, the IT help desk, or the workers in the field have been nothing but kind and helpful. A company who cares about their employees is one worth coming back to. “
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at Rosendin and we, like other electrical contractors in the industry do, keep the conversation going. “The main reason for safety measures is to ensure that you’re protecting your employees from hazards on a project and that they go home each day without being injured. Safety is a value that you place before everything else and one which you never want your employees to compromise for any reason.” - Marty Rouse, VP of Safety (Rosendin).
