The best benefit was the ability to work at home. The medical and dental benefits were excellent. The 401k built up quickly, and my pay-out was a nice surprise.

The absolute best thing about the at home advisor position is that it is done from home. There is absolutely no commuting.

Work from home is just what it sounds like. Its a benefit to someone like myself who is unable to commute to a daily job due to health issues.

Pretty standard work from home. Fast internet and a quiet location is a must.

Well, you get to literally work from home. What's not great about that? You don't have to smell clean, you get to wear last night's clothes because you were too tired to do the laundry, and forget all that busy work of making your hair and makeup look good before entering work. Nobody is going to see you so it will not matter.

Working from home is great. The pay is terrible and there are no raises. The tools provided to do the job rarely work the way they're supposed to work.

You get to work from home, but you had to supply ALL required electronics and troubleshoot most issues on your own. If your computer goes down and you don't have a back up within a day or 2 you likely wont have a job to come back to after you fix it.

they key issue with this job is that the have a VPN that locks you out from surfing the web to assist customers. I understand if they don't want you surfing and looking at your facebook while working; however, restricting us from surfing the web to websites related to the customer's call is unacceptable. solution, have 2 computers -- just don't tell them. your work dedicated work computer -- in which put nothing you want private on it and then your private computer where everything else goes. I bought a cheap refurbished $160 system online for my work computer. remember they see everything you do AND you have to give the ADMIN access to your system. That should be an immediate security flag in my book. Also, login 30 minutes before your shift, their authentication system is very poorly designed. too many people trying to login at the same time seems to overload the problem and their VPN constantly drops. if it drops, you take the ding in the payroll. Also, disable automatic updates from microsoft. in short, keep your work computer for work only -- no private info and no automatic updates.
